Dr Judith E. Bosnak is Director of the SAKA Museum, a cultural centre dedicated to Bali’s living heritage at AYANA Bali Resort in Jimbaran. She holds a PhD in Linguistic and Literary Studies from Leiden University (2006), with a thesis on Javanese performing arts. A specialist in Indonesian languages and cultures, she has conducted extensive ethnographic fieldwork in Indonesia and lectured internationally in Southeast Asian Studies, including in Leiden, Mexico City, Frankfurt am Main, and Taipei. Her current research interests include indigenous travel writing and art history.
