Threads of Life

The Loom and the Offering reflects twenty-five years of experiential learning through the Bali Field School, centering on eight University of Guam students who co-authored this work. Through deep engagement with Balinese culture, traditional weaving communities, and the longstanding partnership with Threads of Life, an organization dedicated to cultural preservation and sustainable livelihoods, these students experienced profound personal transformation. The book explores education as an embodied, relational practice that nurtures humility, connection, and purpose. It reveals how stepping beyond the classroom into sacred spaces, community life, and cultural traditions fosters collective growth and spiritual ecology. In a fast-paced, disconnected world, this work invites readers to slow down, listen deeply, and rediscover the meaning of belonging and shared humanity.

The Loom and the Offering merefleksikan dua puluh lima tahun pembelajaran berbasis pengalaman melalui Bali Field School, dengan berfokus pada delapan mahasiswa University of Guam yang ikut menulis buku ini.
