Indus Restaurant

In coming-of-age novels, authors shed light on the trials and joys of forging a path to adulthood. While fiction for adolescents is abundant and richly varied in perspective, stories featuring LGBTQIA+ characters offer unique insights into the reality of self-understanding when honest expression disrupts societal norms and defies expectations. Now, more than ever, it is vitally necessary to consider the lives of young LGBTQIA+ people when writing. Join our speakers as they divulge their perspectives on queer adolescence in fiction and its impact, both personally and on their audiences.
