Borobudur by Moonlight: Stories Etched in Stone at Manohara Restaurant

Dyan Anggraini is an Indonesian visual artist and researcher who has participated in more than one hundred group exhibitions in major cities across Indonesia as well as abroad, including Singapore and Malaysia. Some important exhibitions to note include solo exhibitions at PPIA (Indonesian-American Friendship Association), Surabaya, in 1989; a solo exhibition at CCCL (French Cultural Center, now IFI), Surabaya, in 2003; Temu Para Maestro (Maestro Meeting) at Jogja Gallery in 2021; Black and White Dyan Anggraini at Dyan Art Studio Yogyakarta in 2019; and Women in Borobudur at the National Gallery, Jakarta, in 2018. Born in East Java, Dyan was introduced to visual arts by her father, Rais Rayan, an ASRI alumnus. She studied painting at STSRI-ASRI Yogyakarta and graduated in 1982. In 2018, she received the Lifetime Achievement Award BEBRAYAN D.I.W.O, and in 2019, the Cultural Award from the Governor of Yogyakarta.

Dyan Anggraini adalah seniman visual dan peneliti asal Indonesia yang telah berpartisipasi dalam lebih dari seratus pameran kelompok di berbagai kota besar di Indonesia maupun luar negeri, termasuk di Singapura dan Malaysia. Beberapa pameran penting yang pernah diikutinya antara lain pameran tunggal di PPIA (Perhimpunan Persahabatan Indonesia-Amerika), Surabaya, pada tahun 1989; pameran tunggal di CCCL (Pusat Kebudayaan Prancis, kini IFI), Surabaya, pada tahun 2003; Temu Para Maestro di Jogja Gallery pada tahun 2021; Black and White Dyan Anggraini di Dyan Art Studio Yogyakarta pada tahun 2019; serta Women in Borobudur di Galeri Nasional Indonesia, Jakarta, pada tahun 2018. Lahir di Jawa Timur, Dyan diperkenalkan pada seni rupa oleh ayahnya, Rais Rayan, yang merupakan alumnus ASRI. Ia menempuh pendidikan seni lukis di STSRI-ASRI Yogyakarta dan lulus pada tahun 1982.
