KEMBALI 2020: A Rebuild Bali Festival (KEMBALI20) features over 100 storytellers and culinary figures who will join intimate discussions and powerful performances in a digital Festival running from 29 October—8 November.
Founded by Yayasan Mudra Swari Saraswati—an independent, not-for-profit foundation in Ubud, Bali—KEMBALI20 is a celebration of literature, the arts, food and culture, combining the best of Ubud Writers & Readers Festival and Ubud Food Festival into a vibrant online program.
From Oakland to Oxford, Singapore to Sydney, Denpasar to Dubai, the full lineup of speakers is a testament to the Festival’s cultural diversity, who will come together through panel discussions, workshops, cooking demos, film screenings, music and arts performances.
“Bringing together some of the world’s most powerful voices in a melting pot of artists, authors, activists, entrepreneurs, performers, chefs, and culinary experts, KEMBALI20 is a platform for meaningful exchange and cross-cultural dialogue,” commented Founder and Director Janet DeNeefe.
“It’s a place where artists and audiences alike can discuss shared inspirations, ideas and concerns—a Festival that transcends cultural and geographical borders to create a truly global community.”
Over 50 sessions as part of KEMBALI20 will be free for all users, continuing the Yayasan’s long-standing commitment to accessibility and inclusivity. Main Program sessions are accessible through a minimum, one-time donation of IDR150,000, providing access to all 60+ events.
All donations contribute to the production costs of KEMBALI20 and to supporting the foundation that presents Ubud Writers & Readers Festival and Ubud Food Festival, ensuring their continuity for many years to come.
