Wade Davis is a renowned Professor of Anthropology and the BC Leadership Chair in Cultures and Ecosystems at Risk at the University of British Columbia. With an impressive collection of 23 books under his belt, Wade obtained his degrees in anthropology and biology from Harvard University and earned a Ph.D. in ethnobotany. He served as the Explorer-in-Residence at the National Geographic Society from 2000 to 2013 and was honored as a member of the Order of Canada in 2016.
