Taufiq Rahman is the Chief Editor of The Jakarta Post (TJP), serving in his role after three years as the Deputy Chief Editor. He has been with TJP since 2004, initially joining as a political reporter. While at TJP, he briefly paused his reporting duties to pursue a master’s degree in comparative politics at Northern Illinois University (NIU) in the United States, supported by a Fulbright scholarship. Upon returning from the United Staets, he took up a teaching position at the State Islamic University (UIN) Syarief Hidayatullah in Jakarta, primarily focusing on international political economy. In addition to his work at the Post, Taufiq is a well-known figure in Indonesia’s independent music scene. During weekends, he dedicates his remaining free time to running a boutique record label, specializing in the release of Indonesian music on vinyl.

Taufiq Rahman adalah Pemimpin Redaksi The Jakarta Post (TJP), yang menjabat posisi tersebut setelah tiga tahun menjadi Wakil Pemimpin Redaksi. Ia telah bekerja dengan TJP sejak 2004, pada awalnya bergabung sebagai wartawan politik. Saat bekerja di TJP, ia rehat sejenak dari tugas-tugas liputannya untuk mengejar gelar Master untuk Politik Perbandingan di Northern Illinois University (NIU) di Amerika Serikat, didukung oleh beasiswa Fulbright. Di khir pekan, ia membaktikan waktu kosongnya untuk mengelola sebuah label rekaman butik, mengkhususkan diri untuk merilis musik Indonesia dalam bentuk vinyl.
