Tanaïs is a highly talented American fiction writer and perfumer. Their works include In Sensorium and the widely praised novel Bright Lines, which earned finalist positions for the Center for Fiction First Novel Prize, the Edmund White Debut Fiction Award, and the Brooklyn Eagles Literary Prize. Tanaïs has been honored with residencies at MacDowell, Tin House, and Djerassi. Beyond writing, they are an independent perfumer, operating the fragrance, beauty, and design studio TANAÏS in New York City.
