Laksmi Pamuntjak

Laksmi Pamuntjak is an award-winning, internationally-published Indonesian novelist, poet, journalist and food writer. She writes widely on culture and politics including op-eds in the Guardian. Her debut novel The Question of Red won Germany’s LiBeraturpreis 2016. The movie adaptation of her second novel, The Birdwoman’s Palate, was released nationwide in 2018. Her first English novel, Fall Baby, published in 2019 by Penguin Random House SEA, won the 2020 Singapore Book Awards for Best Literary Work. The Indonesian version, Kekasih Musim Gugur, was published in August 2020.

Laksmi Pamuntjak adalah seorang novelis, penyair, jurnalis dan kritikus kuliner dwibahasa. Ia kerap menulis tentang politik dan budaya di pelbagai media termasuk harian Inggris the Guardian. Pada 2016, novel pertamanya, Amba, memenangi penghargaan sastra Jerman LiBeraturpreis. Film berdasarkan novel keduanya, Aruna dan Lidahnya, dirilis tahun 2018. Novel pertamanya dalam bahasa Inggris, Fall Baby (diterbitkan pada 2019 oleh Penguin Random House SEA), memenangi Singapore Book Awards 2020 sebagai Karya Sastra Terbaik. Versi bahasa Indonesianya, Kekasih Musim Gugur, terbit pada Agustus 2020.
