Karen McKnight

Karen McKnight is a Melbourne-based writer, performer, editor, and small press publisher who has worked as a trainer, mentor, and workshop facilitator. Her writing has been published in a range of journals, including Vandal Press, Modern Writing, and The Big Issue. She is the creator of therapeutic writing projects and career pathway programs that enable individuals and groups to access the healing power of writing to aid their recovery or reconnect with the community. In 2016 she was awarded the Inaugural Writer in Residence at Overland Literary Journal and, in 2019, won the Grace Marion Wilson Prize for non-fiction.
