Elaine Pearson is the Asia Exeuctive Director at Human Rights Watch. Pearson has written articles for many publications including The Guardian, The Sydney Morning Herald, and The Australian. She has worked for the United Nations (UN) and various non-governmental organizations around the world. She is a lecturer of law at the University of New South Wales, and holds degrees in law and arts from Murdoch University and obtained her Master’s degree in public policy at Princeton University’s School of Public and International Affairs.
