Arief Rabik is the President and Director of Indonesia’s Environmental Bamboo Foundation and the founder of the 1000 Bamboo Villages project. The project aims to create economic viability for using bamboo agroforestry to sequester CO2 and restore degraded tropical forestlands in dozens of countries. Arief Rabik’s works have been acknowledged globally; he was recognized as Impact Hero by Earth Company in 2021 and as the Climate Breakthrough Awardee in 2019. He co-authored Towards Resilient Bamboo Forestry, a comprehensive guide on managing this magnificent natural resource.

Arief Rabik adalah Presiden Direktur Yayasan Bambu Lingkungan Indonesia dan pendiri proyek 1000 Kampung Bambu. Proyek ini bertujuan untuk menciptakan kelayakan ekonomi untuk penggunaan agroforestri bambu untuk menyerap CO2 dan memulihkan lahan hutan tropis yang terdegradasi di lusinan negara. Karya Arief Rabik telah diakui secara global; dia diakui sebagai Pahlawan Dampak oleh Earth Company pada tahun 2021, dan sebagai Penerima Terobosan Iklim pada tahun 2019. Dia ikut menulis Towards Resilient Bamboo Forestry, panduan komprehensif tentang pengelolaan sumber daya alam yang luar biasa ini.
