Alison Entrekin

Alison Entrekin is an award-winning Australian literary translator from the Portuguese. She has translated many of Brazil’s most beloved and iconic literary works, earning her several honours, including the 2019 New South Wales Premier’s Translation Prize and PEN medallion, along with being a finalist in the PEN Translation Prize, the International Dublin Literary Award and the Independent Foreign Fiction Prize. She currently teaches literary translation online and is working on a new translation of Grande Sertão: Veredas by João Guimarães Rosa.
