We’re hiring! Seeking an International Media Coordinator

Does working in Ubud, helping to produce major international events, and meeting some of the world’s leading authors, artists and chefs sound like the ideal job to you?

We are seeking an International Media Coordinator to implement an English language media strategy across our two annual projects: Ubud Writers & Readers Festival (23–27 October, 2019) and Ubud Food Festival (17–19 April, 2020).

The International Media Coordinator is part of the Communications team, which is led by the Marketing & Communications Manager, and includes the National Media Coordinator and graphic designers. The International Media Coordinator is responsible for developing and delivering English language media strategies to meet each Festival’s objectives. They are responsible for managing English language media partnerships, social media, media events, media attendance at the Festivals, and producing media reports.

It is a full-time position based in Ubud, and open to Indonesians and non-Indonesians.

SELECTION CRITERIA

  • International media relations experience in festivals or events
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Bahasa Indonesia to English translation skills
  • Copywriting experience
  • Excellent skills in managing social media accounts and creating social media content
  • Basic WordPress skills
  • Willingness to work long hours, especially in the lead-up to and during the Festivals
  • Enjoy working in a team
