Xu Xi

Xu Xi is one of Hong Kong's leading English writers and author of sixteen books, including five novels, nine prose collections, one memoir, and one co-authored textbook. She has also edited four anthologies of Hong Kong writing. Her newest title is the fiction collection Horizon Hong Kong: Selected Stories, published by Gaudy Boy in 2026. A lifelong transnational, Xu Xi has long inhabited the flight path connecting New York, Hong Kong and the South Island of New Zealand. She now divides her time between New York State and the rest of the world.
