Rizal Iwan

Rizal Iwan is an Indonesian author of children's books, known for his mystery novel series Creepy Case Club. The sixth book in the series was included in the IBBY Honour List 2026 and won the Scarlet Pen Award 2024 for Best Children's Book. Rizal also recently won the Dwianto Setyawan Children's Literature Award Competition 2026, and in 2024 was one of 25 authors selected for the Children's Book Writer Residency Program in the 3T Regions by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology. He's also active in theater as an actor and playwright, and his play Pindah won a Rawayan Award at the Jakarta Arts Council's Theater Script Writing Competition 2022.

Rizal Iwan adalah seorang penulis buku anak asal Indonesia, dikenal lewat seri novel misterinya Creepy Case Club. Buku keenam dalam seri ini masuk dalam IBBY Honour List 2026 dan memenangi Scarlet Pen Award 2024 sebagai Best Children's Book. Rizal juga baru saja memenangi Sayembara Hadiah Sastra Anak Dwianto Setyawan 2026, dan pada tahun 2024 menjadi salah satu dari 25 penulis terpilih untuk program Residensi Penulis Buku Anak di Wilayah 3T oleh Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi. Rizal juga aktif di teater sebagai aktor dan penulis naskah, dan naskah lakonnya, Pindah, memenangi Rawayan Award di Sayembara Naskah Teater Dewan Kesenian Jakarta 2022.
