Petty Elliott

Petty Elliott is an internationally acclaimed Indonesian chef, food writer, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. She served as a judge for Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants and the World’s 50 Best Restaurants in 2016 and 2017, respectively. Publishing house Phaidon Press released a book in 2018 titled Where Chefs Eat, which featured her. As an ethnic Manadonese from North Sulawesi, Elliott is known for her innovative fusion of the spicy-hot Manadonese cuisine with European foods. Her 2016 book, Jakarta Bites: Exploring Vibrant Street Food from the Heart of Indonesia, won the prestigious 2017 Gourmand World Cookbook Awards in the street food category. Her latest book, The Indonesian Table, was released in 2023 via Phaidon Press, taking readers on a culinary journey across Indonesia, drawing from her personal experiences.
