Petra Molnar is a Canadian lawyer and anthropologist who has worked all over the world documenting how new technologies are shaping the way people cross borders. Petra co-runs the Refugee Law Lab at York University and directs the Migration and Technology Monitor project. She consults with governments, international organizations, and the UN, and her work has appeared in The New York Times, Time Magazine, Al Jazeera, and others. She is a Faculty Associate at Harvard University's Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society and the author of her first book, The Walls Have Eyes: Surviving Migration in the Age of Artificial Intelligence, a finalist for Canada’s Governor General Literary Prize.
