Patricia Tanumihardja is a American food writer, cookbook author, and children’s book author. Born in Jakarta and raised in Singapore, Pat’s Chinese Indonesian parents encouraged her appetites for both delicious foods and good books. Her fifth and latest cookbook is Mortar and Pestle—Classic Indonesian Recipes for the Modern Kitchen, written together with her mother, Julia. Her debut picture book, Ramen for Everyone, was an indie bookstore favorite. Her writing has been featured inThe Washington Post, Serious Eats, Bon Appétit, among others.
