Janet Steele

Janet Steele is an American professor of media and public affairs and international affairs at George Washington University. A frequent visitor to Southeast Asia, she is the author of numerous books and articles on journalism history, theory, and practice, including Wars Within: the story of Tempo, an independent magazine in Soeharto’s Indonesia (a free version of which is available on Academia.edu).
