Courtney Collins is an Australian author, screenwriter, and producer. Her debut novel The Burial, published by Allen & Unwin in 2012, was released in ten countries and shortlisted for major awards including the Australian/Vogel Literary Award, the Nita B Kibble Literary Award, the NSW Premier's Literary Award, and the Stella Prize. It is currently being adapted as a feature film. Her second novel Bird was recently published by Hachette. As a Sidney Myer Fellow, she established Ngukurr Story Projects, producing films with First Nations artists in southeast Arnhem Land. Her feature film Life Could Be A Dream will be released in early 2026. Courtney holds a Master of Creative Writing and a PhD.
