Felix K. Nesi’s heartfelt documentary Sailum: Song Of The Rustling Leaves is a tribute to Indonesia’s indigenous agrarian culture, intricately woven with centuries-old religious devotion. Amid the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic, a writer embarks on a profound personal odyssey, driven by a family’s unhealed wound. His quest leads him to his Indonesian ancestral heritage, where a unique indigenous agrarian tradition, featuring traditional palm wine, converges with an enduring Catholic faith, set against the backdrop of the world’s largest Muslim-majority nation.

Presented in Indonesian with English subtitles.
