“Publishing your debut novel fills you with excitement and a fair amount of anxiety. We live in a noisy world, and it can be challenging for new writers to make themselves heard above the din.” – Douglas Stuart, debut author of Shuggie Bain. Three emerging writers reflect on the experience of penning their first publication discussing the distinct skill of transforming ideas into words, what drives and inspires them, and the commitment needed to write.
