Across Indonesia, hundreds of rural communities are in conflict with corporations seeking control of their resources. When they push back, they face the wrath of the state. In Our Mothers’ Land, from The Gecko Project and Mongabay, journalist Febriana Firdaus travels to meet women who have risen to lead social movements, facing violence, imprisonment, and judgement from conservative societies as they fight for their rights.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Febriana Firdaus.

The registration for this film screening has closed and those who have registered will be sent a password to access the film on the screening day. Our Mothers’ Land will only be available to watch for 24 hours after the screening.

Di penjuru Indonesia, ratusan pedesaan sedang menghadapi konflik dengan korporasi yang ingin menguasai sumber daya mereka. Ketika mereka melawan, mereka harus menghadapi konsekuensinya. Dalam Our Mothers’ Land, dari The Gecko Project dan Mongabay, jurnalis Febriana Firdaus menemui wanita yang telah bangkit untuk memimpin gerakan sosial menghadapi kekerasan, hukuman penjara, dan penghakiman dari masyarakan konservatif saat mereka berjuang untuk hak mereka.

Pemutaran film akan diikuti oleh sesi tanya jawab dengan Febriana Firdaus.
