Every year Ubud Writers & Readers Festival opens its doors to including art exhibitions, performances, musical events and more as part of its free Arts Program.
In 2014 these included a raucous cabaret extravaganza, an exhibition inspired by and created out of the plastic waste crisis in Bali, a performance of the music and dance of Sumba, and an exploration of Borneo via images, sound and words.
This year UWRF will take place from October 28 – November 1, and will celebrate the theme 17,000 Islands of Imagination. Thousands of dedicated culture aficionados from across the world annually make the pilgrimage to Ubud to connect with extraordinary stories, global issues and big ideas.
The deadline is July 21.
