Ubud Writers & Readers Festival is running from 8-17 October. This will be a hybrid event, combining online program through the festival online platform and live in Ubud. The program will be variety from pre-recorded or live streamed which allowing for interaction in real time with live audiences in Ubud and our online audience across the globe.
This year, UWRF proudly announce also a long time collaboration with WritingWA in Perth. This collaboration will bring UWRF in Perth live from The Rechabite Hall on 8 – 10 Oct.
Main Program can be accessed online via Townscript.com by purchasing tickets via the BUY Ticket button on the MAIN PROGRAM page. The link to access the MAIN Program will automatically be sent via email after purchasing a ticket.
The Main Program is also broadcast live at Indus Restaurant, those who have purchased tickets via Townscript.com can use these tickets to watch at Indus Restaurant. The Main Program will be broadcast live with speakers who are present in person at Indus Restaurant or present online (for speakers who are outside Bali). Indus capacity will be limited according to the health protocol.
On 8 – 10 Oct, the festival will also be broadcast live at The Rechabite Hall, Perth. For those who are in Perth and its surroundings, you can watch the Main program live from there. Click here to learn more about UWRF Perth programs.
You can also rewatch the sessions for one month after the Festival.
The workshop will be held online via Zoom. A Zoom link will be sent if you have purchased/registered at the desired workshop. Some workshops will also be held in Ubud in person and in this case, the workshops will not be available online. The workshop can be accessed by showing the ticket at the event entrance.
Dinner or Lunch will be held in Ubud and will not be available online. The Opening Ceremony and Literature Seminar will be available online.
Festival Club, Book Launch, Film Program, Music & Arts are available for free. You can stream these free programs on our social media (Instagram or Facebook) or YouTube channel.
The festival will follow strict health protocols with social-distancing measures in place. Attendees in Ubud are required to complete a Covid 19 PCR test and receive a negative result or to show proof of vaccination at least one ( 1 ) dose of a COVID 19 vaccine. The use of PeduliLindungi app is also required. Attendees will have to scan using the installed app on their phones before entering the festival grounds.
If you are not well and or sick please stay home and get tested. Please practise good hygiene at the festival. Social-distancing protocols will be enforced. We required festival attendees to wear face masks whilst at the event.
