Competition Terms and Conditions: Guess the Author

• Eligibility: The competition is open to all participants aged 18 and above.
• How to Enter: To enter, participants must correctly identify the literary personality behind the provided quote: “It’s our first life, which means there are a lot of firsts for everything, including the first time we have an honest conversation with ourselves.” Entries should be submitted through the online form provided on our website.
• Submission Deadline: Entries must be submitted by Friday, 8 September 2023, before the specified deadline.
• Prize: The winner will receive a Festival merchandise bundle that includes a t-shirt and a tote bag of the 20th Anniversary Festival of the Ubud Writers & Readers Festival. The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other alternatives.
• Winner Selection: The winner will be selected randomly from the pool of correct entries. The decision is final and no correspondence regarding the selection process will be entertained.
• Notification: The winner will be notified via email within one week of the competition closing date. If the winner does not respond within seven days, a new winner will be selected.
• Personal Information: By entering the competition, participants agree to provide their name and contact details for the purpose of prize notification and distribution.
• Publicity: By participating, the winner agrees to the use of their first name and submitted entry for promotional purposes related to the competition and festival.
• Disqualification: Entries containing inappropriate or offensive content will be disqualified.
• Alteration: The organizers reserve the right to amend or cancel the competition at any time without prior notice.
• Release of Liability: Participants release the organizers from any liability arising from the competition.
