Following a hugely successful 2022 Festival Edition, the Ubud Writers & Readers Festival (UWRF), is celebrating its 20th Anniversary Edition between the 18th – 22nd October 2023. It’ll be returning to a fully in-person program under the lead of the new Head of Programming, Gene Smith.
Janet DeNeefe, UWRF Founder and Director said: “We are delighted to be celebrating our longstanding heritage and amazing achievements with our Festival friends through the special 20th Anniversary Edition. UWRF has brought so much culture and literature diversity to this staunchly cultural region, and we look forward to seeing many more memories shared ahead of this year’s Festival.”
The Anniversary Edition is curated by Festival Director, Janet DeNeefe, Festival Manager Dwi Ermayanthi, and the new Head of Programming, Gene Smith, along with a team of associate programmers. Future announcements on the upcoming Festival programs will be revealed soon, and tickets go on sale in June 2023.
