Pici Pici Bisma Ubud

Reprising a successful activity from the 2018 Festival, The Jakarta Post’s Maggie Tiojakin will lead this relaxed and reflective writing exercise called 'Dear You.' The aim is to deliver a fun and insightful experience for festival audiences, immersing them in the art of written expression. Letters, timeless vessels of thoughts and emotions, have the power to bridge distances, capture moments, and touch hearts. Participants will discover the joy of writing, the magic of sharing stories, and the genuine warmth of understanding their own and others' emotions that feel like a deep embrace. As a letter, 'Dear You' is meant to give participants enough freedom to express themselves while keeping the 'you' in the letter anonymous. In that way, they can openly access the deepest part of their truth and share it with the world while keeping the context of their letters private. Participants will be encouraged to write freely without judgment, focusing on their feelings, memories, or reactions to the prompts. Then, they will be given the chance to take the mic and share their work.
