Yayasan Patron Program: Your Contribution Matters

Posted: 11 August 2020

The year 2020 has truly been one of the wildest roller coaster rides. Even though the global pandemic has forced us to postpone both Ubud Writers & Readers Festival (UWRF) and Ubud Food Festival (UFF) for the first time in 17 years, our spirit and drive never waver. Last month, we launched Yayasan Patron Program to protect the future of the Foundation and both Festivals. Since then, your contribution has helped us tremendously.

With your support, we were able to start a series of Virtual Programs on both Festival’s online platforms, featuring our very own Festival team as hosts. We were also able to set up our own Virtual Program interview area at our office to create more interactive programs.

In April, we started our own organic farm utilizing the space and landscape of the Festival Hub. We planted chilies, tomatoes, bitter melon, and spinach and we are all eager to harvest the plants. Our Festival team can’t wait to start cooking with our own fresh organic produce. In collaboration with one of Bali’s young filmmakers, Wayan Martino, we are also producing a video series to document Bali’s food and cultural heritage. Our first episode will capture the life of a vanilla farmer at Mupubati Farm in Bali.

Right now, the Festival team is busy preparing something big as a part of Yayasan Patron Program that will absolutely inspire, excite, reconnect, and revitalize the community of our beloved island, Bali. So, stay tuned on our website and social media platforms because we will uncover it next week. Your contribution has made all this possible, and still incredibly crucial to help support the future of Indonesia’s literary and culinary world.

By contributing to the Yayasan Patron Program, you’ll be supporting the world of literature and art in Indonesia. Sign up to our enews and follow us on InstagramTwitter and Facebook. for the latest updates.
