Joko Pinurbo, fondly known as Jokpin, shaped his own style and color in the world of Indonesian poetry. Jokpin’s poems are a blend of narration, humor, and irony. He has received various awards for his work, including the Jakarta Arts Council’s Book of Poetry Award (2001), Tempo’s Choice Literary Figure (2001; 2012), the Language Agency Literature Award (2002; 2014), Kusala Sastra Khatulistiwa (2005; 2015), and the Southeast Asian Writers Award (2014).

Joko Pinurbo atau Jokpin menorehkan gaya dan warna tersendiri dalam dunia puisi Indonesia. Puisi-puisi Jokpin merupakan perpaduan narasi, humor, dan ironi. Atas pencapaiannya, ia mendapatkan berbagai penghargaan, Buku Puisi Dewan Kesenian Jakarta (2001), Tokoh Sastra Pilihan Tempo (2001; 2012), Penghargaan Sastra Badan Bahasa (2002; 2014), Kusala Sastra Khatulistiwa (2005; 2015), dan Penghargaan Penulis Asia Tenggara (2014).
