Art Exhibition | Oprasi#5 – Extended Narrative

Prasi is a variety of works of art using palm leaves as the medium. In the classical era, Prasi was included in the lontar (Bali’s Palm-Leaf Manuscripts) literary text with rich and detailed illustration icons. What is presented are figures and other ornaments that beautify the text. In this exhibition, the artists from the Oprasi Community will display their best works that show their skill in painting, carving, and careful response to scripts in a beautiful prasi presentation.

Prasi merupakan ragam karya seni rupa dengan medium daun lontar. Pada era klasik, prasi disertakan dalam teks sastra lontar dengan ikon-ikon ilustrasi yang detail dan kaya. Yang dihadirkan ialah figur-figur tokoh maupun ornamentik lain yang memperindah teks. Dalam pameran ini, para seniman dari Komunitas Oprasi akan memajang karya terbaik mereka yang menunjukan kepiawian teknik melukis, ukir, dan kecermatan merespons naskah dalam sajian prasi yang elok.
