“The limits of my language mean the limits of my world.” – Ludwig Wittgenstein. Language is imbued with cultural values, ways of thinking, and histories that must be preserved and celebrated. With almost half of the world’s 6,511 languages now considered endangered, a critical threat is posed to both our heritage and contemporary diversity. Join writers Saut Tambunan, Audrey Magee, and Putu Juli Sastrawan in a discussion about the dangers of language extinction and how we can raise awareness and awaken dying languages to build a vibrant future for humanity and cultural sustainability.
“Terbatasnya bahasa berarti terbatas pula dunia saya.” – Ludwig Wittgenstein.
