Carla Power, the author of two Pulitzer Prize finalists in General Nonfiction, discusses in her latest book, Home, Land, Security, the emerging field of deradicalization. By inquiring into the stories of those who have joined extremist movements, she attempts to untangle the motivations behind their tragic acts. Power’s work looks at the influences and circumstances that cause these destructive alignments and the reformative approaches being used to bring radicals back from the grasp of extremist groups.
