Our poets commemorate 100 years of Chairil Anwar. One of Indonesia’s most celebrated young poets, in his short career, Chairil Anwar created a profound body of work that became the voice of a nation. He is a modern-day cult figure whose rebellious life and early death are commemorated as National Literature Day.
