Law is culture, and culture is law. Indigenous law is a complex area that involves issues concerning First Nations peoples and their relationships with governments, rights to land, rights to tradition, and rights to self-government. Aaron and Marcia are the authors of the First Knowledges series, which provides an introduction to Indigenous knowledge in songlines, architecture, design, land management, botany, astronomy, and law. This series brings together two distinctly different ways of comprehending the natural world: one ancient, the other modern.
