Jean Couteau and Eric Buvelot discuss Bali, 50 Years of Changes – A Conversation with Jean Couteau, translated from French by Diana Darling, looking back at Bali since the 1970s, from a socio-historical perspective. With changes that have been more significant in 50 years than those that happened during the previous millennium, they ask the question, “How has the birth of individuality and rational thinking shaped new behaviours within Bali’s communal society?”
