Follow the stories of personal challenges and cultural survival that run beneath the surface of Indonesia’s textile arts industry and into a world of rituals, ancestors, mythology and ecological wisdom with the Tradition Keepers series. Watch Touching the Ground to learn more about Ubud and Sidemen, Bali, and Mother of the Blue Darkness to explore the culture of East Sumba.

The film screening will be followed by a Q&A session with I Made Maduarta from the Touching the Ground episode and Rambu Manda from the Mother of the Blue Darkness episode. William Ingram from the Threads of Life gallery will moderate the discussion.
