Do you know the stories behind the food on your table? Before You Eat, written by Kasan Kurdi in 2022, highlights the struggles Indonesian crew members experience on foreign fishing vessels. From long working hours and inadequate food to physical violence and even death, this film shares the exploitation they experience from the time they board the ships to after they arrive back home.

Apakah Anda tahu cerita di balik makanan di meja Anda? Before You Eat (2022) oleh Kasan Kurdi menyoroti perjuangan yang dialami ABK Indonesia di kapal penangkap ikan asing. Dari jam kerja yang panjang dan makanan yang tidak memadai hingga kekerasan fisik bahkan kematian, film ini menceritakan eksploitasi yang terjadi sejak mereka naik kapal hingga setelah mereka tiba kembali di tanah air.
