This book is about the collaboration and lessons learned from two organizations: Torajamelo, a sustainable lifestyle social enterprise that aims to address the issue of outward migration from rural communities by focusing on reviving rural economies with weaving as an entry point, and Perempuan Kepala Keluarga (Pekka), which translates to ‘Women Headed Family Empowerment’ in English. Pekka is a grassroots organization that empowers widows to assume the position of the head of the family, not solely based on marital status.
