Cancellation of Erica Jong

“After traveling worldwide for a solid year supporting my new novel Fear of Dying, I found it necessary to recover from exhaustion at home. I’ve also been supporting Hillary Rodham Clinton’s campaign for President and cannot be away for this important election. I was thrilled to receive your invitation and wished to be able to meet my wonderful readers in Indonesia, but alas I will not be able to join you. I hope to be with you at the Ubud Festival in the future” – Erica Jong

It is with great disappointment that we must announce the cancellation of much-loved literary-powerhouse Erica Jong. She may leave big shoes to fill, but we have no doubt the incredible array of powerful voices at this year’s UWRF will carry forth another incredible program.

We look forward to welcoming over 160 of the world’s leading authors, artists, thinkers and performers to the festival in just six short weeks time.
