Growing up in North Korea, Hyeonseo Lee thought her country was, ‘the best on the planet’. As a 7-year-old she saw her first execution, and at 17 she escaped.
Her memoir, The Girl With Seven Names, was recently published in numerous countries throughout the world. Over five million viewers have watched her TED Talk about her life in North Korea and ger journey to freedom.
