Award-winning Indonesian director Garin Nugroho made his directorial debut with 1991’s Cinta Dalam Sepotong Roti (Love in a Slice of Bread). His accolades include Asia Pacific Film Festival’s Best Young Director, and Berlin International Film Festival’s Young Filmmakers Jury Award. His latest work, Setan Jawa, premiered on Opening Night of the Asia Pacific Triennial of Performing Arts in Melbourne last year.

Sutradara pemenang penghargaan Indonesia, Garin Nugroho, memulai debut penyutradaraannya melalui film Cinta Dalam Sepotong Roti (Love in a Slice of Bread) tahun 1991. Penghargaan yang telah diraihnya termasuk Best Young Director dalam Asia Pacific Film Festival, dan Young Filmmakers Jury Award dalam Berlin International Film Festival. Karya terbarunya, Setan Jawa, ditayangkan pada Malam Pembukaan Asian Pacific Triennial of Performing Arts di Melbourne tahun lalu.
