Ferenc Barnás was born in 1959. His novels have been translated into several languages, including English, German, French and Indonesian, and he has received three of Hungary’s highest literary honors. His third novel The Ninth was longlisted for the Best Translated Book Award (USA) and the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award.
