Lily Yulianti Farid, story writer and journalist was born and raised in Makassar, South Sulawesi. She has published a collection of short stories in Indonesian Makkunrai (March 2008) and Maiasaura(June 2008). She founded the citizens journalism site www.payingkul. com (2006) and launched Makkunrai, a gender awareness programs trough literature and art of the stage with stage actor/ director Luna Vidya
